My Thoughts on Homosexuality

1: If a gay person were to get in a fight with me or hurt me physically or emotionally, then of course I'd have a problem with them. But that hasn't happened yet and I'm still alive, so I don't see a reason to make their sexuality a big deal if it doesn't threaten me.

2. So the bible says love the sinner but hate the sin; it also says that it's immoral to be sexually attracted to the same gender. But here's the thing. I will NOT be like those other those other Christians who decide to "pray the gay away" or anything else like that. I refuse to submit myself to such a level. And besides, aren't all Christians taught to love and respect each other anyways? Why is that so hard for some people to do?

Now here's something that can be up for debate: being gay is NOT a choice NOR is it something that you're automatically born into. Your own sexual desires are part of natural human development. It's up to the person to believe if what they're desiring is right or wrong. If someone believes that it's right for them to be attracted to the same gender, then so be it. The same applies to those who believe that they're sexually attracted to both genders or the opposite gender. Whatever your heart desires, it's initially up to the person to decide if what they're feeling is right or wrong.
