My Favorite YouTubers for 2016/2017

Before I jump into this list, I just want to mention a couple things quickly. First off, one new hobby that I've come to enjoy for the past few months is organizing/decluttering. There's just something so therapeutic about downsizing the amount of things you have in your home/life and finding a way to better organize the things you own. Also, even though I still love YouTube as a form of entertainment, I also love it as a form of inspiration. So for me, I get a lot of inspiration from YouTube on home decorating and fashion. So with all of that being said, here is the updated list!

1. Kathryn (channel name DoItOnADime)- What I love about her videos is that they are quick, informative and tell you exactly what you need to hear. Her tips on living a simpler life are an absolute game-changer in my opinion, even if you don't have a family of your own yet. PS: Kathryn is a huge Dollar Store fanatic and likes to save money, so if you enjoy those two things as well, then definitely head over to her channel!

2. Tess Christine- This fashion blogger resides in New York with her long-term boyfriend Patrick but is originally from Wisconsin, Minnesota. Her styling videos are simply the best for teenagers/young adults to follow if you're looking on how to make the best of what you have in your wardrobe or how to feel comfortable and stylish at the same time. I'd also like to mention that Tess has the best travel guide videos for different places around the NY area, so if you plan to make a visit some time, definitely check out those videos on her channel!

3. Brittany Vasseur (channel name VasseurBeauty)- Brittany's family has their own skin care line and just recently, she launched her own mini-line under the family's name. But while she isn't talking about skincare and beauty on her blog, she's making other lifestyle videos on YouTube (like do-it-yourself projects and organization/cleaning videos). What I like most about her videos in general is her personality and her husband Ryan- he usually makes appearances at the end of her videos, so be sure to stick around to the very end if you want to be given a good laugh :-)

4. *Peter Hollens- I'm not going to spend too much time talking about Peter because y'all should know who he is by now. But if you don't for some reason, just search him up on YouTube and watch some of his videos. You won't regret it! :-)

5. Jonathan Young- After seeing him collaborate with Malinda K. Reese and Caleb Hyles, I decided to check out Jon's other videos, starting out with Hellfire (from The Hunchback of Notre Dame). That one video instantly had me hooked, and over time I found myself falling in love with his voice. So if you enjoy Disney or rock/metal music, then definitely head over to Jonathan's channel! His covers are amazing!

6. Malinda Kathleen Reese- Now here's a concept that you might have not thought of before: Take a song you love, use nothing but Google Translate to switch the lyrics from English to other various languages then back into English, and then sing the final results! This is the system that Malinda uses to create her videos and I can promise you that they are hilarious- plus Miss Reese has a beautiful singing voice. Just try not to forget the original song because sometimes the Google Translate version can get stuck in your head for days.

7. *Evynne Hollens- If you haven't heard of Peter Hollens' wife, then allow me to introduce you to her! Her covers and her voice is just beautiful; you really have to witness it yourself! Now unlike her a cappella-singing husband, all of her music videos have instruments playing in them. Side note, she has one son named Ashland and he is just too cute for words to describe! To see pictures of him and other fun things that the Hollens family does, you can follow her right here: https://www.instagram.com/evynnehollens/

8. Jodi Jahnke- So if you don't know about my Hamilton obsession, now you do. Of course, Jodi has covered other songs from different musicals as well, but overall, her voice is just fantastic and I love how wide her range is. It's a lot of fun seeing/hearing her imitate Alexander Hamilton's character (as well as other male roles from that musical).
