Gilmore Girls: The Best Relationships

1. Emily and Lorelai- It's like talking to a wall in Lorelai's case, and in Emily's case, she just wants to be right and only sticks to her own judgement. And somehow even though Emily is clearly toxic and never listens to her own daughter (or puts her own emotional needs before her daughter's), there's that random occasion when they're nice to each other and no one goes home with ruined pride or hurt feelings. It's interesting how their relationship withstands itself despite how petty Emily can be. Always mother and daughter, but never best friends...

2. Rory and Paris- Mutual hatred can be a powerful thing, especially for these two ambitious and driven young ladies. And just like Rory has stated, "Paris needs no embellishment". But despite their differences, I'm glad that they've found a way to get past each other's annoying quirks and become close friends. I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way, but I definitely think that Rory and Paris are meant to be best friends forever.

3. Lorelai and Luke- If anyone dare says that Lorelai doesn't deserve Luke, then I don't know if I can ever trust the GG fan base again. I mean sure, the two of them have made mistakes during their engagement, but they will always be perfect for each other. Who else would have made Lorelai a chuppah even though she was engaged to Max? Who else would have been there to pour her coffee and feed her food almost every day? Who else would have stood to the side multiple times, watching her date other men even though he's known since day one that he was in love with her? Luke has always been there for her and he will always love her no matter what. Finding somebody will those qualities is hard to come by these days.

4. Rory and Jess- While a lot of people would say that their relationship shouldn't have happened, I'm glad that it did happen. Jess knows and understands Rory. He may not have always been reliable; he might have had some issues of his own and basically hated living in Stars Hollow; he might have been seen as the least liked person in comparison to Dean, but Jess was able to turn himself around because of Rory. So in the end, despite how things ended, you can't argue that Rory really did influence Jess. Sometimes all it takes to turn a new leaf is some inspiration from someone who believes that you have potential.

5- Rory and Dean- They say that first loves come and go, and even though that does ring true with Rory and Dean, I have to admit that they were pretty cute together. Since he first met her he was in love with her- that much was obvious. I guess Dean was just too insecure, and Rory wasn't very attentive or appreciative of his efforts.
