Politics and Presidents

I normally don't talk about politics, but there's one thing about it that sometimes bothers me: ignorance. But let me be honest and transparent with you guys here. I don't particularly enjoy politics and listening to each candidate speak about his/her beliefs and policies because that can only hold my interest for so long before I get bored. But even then, it's better to be informed than it is to be a blind supporter just because of your political title because not every candidate is worthy of being trusted.

So I don't care if you're pro-Trump, anti-Hilary, anti-Obama or pro-Obama. We Americans need to realize the fact that the president is human like the rest of us and needs to be treated with respect. No president is ever perfect and every one of them has a personality of their own. And while their actions do indeed speak loudly and effect their presidency overall, we can't just continue to be critical of their mistakes and forget the good things that they've done as well. Every president cares about America's well-being but expresses that compassion differently. No one ever said that we all have to agree with the president's views, but if we can just remember that they're human beings like the rest of us, then perhaps we wouldn't be arguing as much. Division and differences makes us bitter, but love and respect is what helps us stick together.

Now when it comes to Trump in particular, I see someone whose ideas may be of good intent, but are being executed in a way that makes America look bad overall. Literally thousands of people have started rallies and protests because of what he's said in his campaign. Trump may have a unique way of using his words and knows how to persuade people into liking him, but that's all just to boost his own ego. If he really cared about his position as president, he would have put more thought into his plans. He would have been more sensible not just with the travel ban, but also the wall he's building in Mexico. All of this may be a temporary solution just so we can finally be at peace with those other countries who have attacked us, but that's not going to stop the thousands of other innocent people from being upset and angry. I'd rather have a president who can make fairly balanced decisions instead of someone who only angers people.
